Four shapes, one secret word

The walkthrough below uses EXAMPLE. Green means the letter is in order. Amber means it belongs somewhere else. A joined block means those letters sit next to each other.

example
This is the word. The row is one connected run, rounded at both ends.
permit
P and E stay in that order, with other letters between them. M is in the word, out of order.
imply
M, P, and L sit together in the secret word, so their tiles join into one block.
excuse
Rounded ends mean the word starts with EX and ends with E.

Read a guess in order

  1. Type

Enter any dictionary word from 2 to 10 letters. The cursor can sit between letters.

  2. Read

Gray drops a letter. Amber keeps it, but not in that order. Green locks the order.

  3. Connect

A green bridge means those letters are neighbors in the secret word.

  4. Close

A rounded left end is the start of the word. A rounded right end is the finish.
